MSOffice problems

error 1918. Error installing ODBC driver: Microsoft Text Driver (*.txt;
*.csv), ODBC error 13: Could not load the setup or translator library.
Verify that the file Microsoft Text Driver (*.txt, *.csv) exists and you can access it.

Trying to install Office and I get 6 errors similar to this. How do I fix it?

The install finishes and Access seems to start up OK. dont know if it functions though.

Yes. I'm the computer question king.
When asking them, nto answering of course.

Well these are the errors. I tried the repair from control panel but same old same old.

Should just be a question of getting these files and putting them in the appropriate directory yes?

I hate to say it but the Micro$oft way may be the only way. Uninstall, clean up the registry and try again....

error 1918-1919

obviously your registry is full of redundant entries from past app installs/uninstalls.
yeah you need to get into the registry to clean it up. a backup tool would be advisable before attacking this.

files to be backing up wil be system.dat and user.dat
