Polishing chrome

Im just wondering if anyone has some good tips for polishing up the chromework.
And is there a good way 2 protect it?

Brite shine is good for keeping good chrome, stainless or aluminium good. It comes in a tin and is like cotton wadding.

Mothers is good. Gentle and not too abrasive.

Autosol is also good and a bit more pasty and can help remove spots.

If it is a Brazillian part, then it is destined to get rustier by the minute. In fact as I type this it is deteriorating.

Those polishes all protect as well.

What is it you need to polish.

My vote is for autosol - liquid or cream.

Great stuff.

yeh Autosol is brilliant, I found better than mothers and mag shine. Best of all, its from Germany, my guess is that this stuf was originally intended for vw's!

It may be rusty, but it's reliable!

go to your local stainless supply mob and grab the stuff that you mix with water. Tried all the rest and reckon this is better than all of them put together it comes in a 1 kilo tub wack it in a sauce bottle and shazam one mirror finish on all chrome work.
