I am afraid you would have no chance???
If some one had one they would restore the whole bus no matter the condition,
I doubt you could even get one from overseas.
Could be proven wrong
but with 23 window buses demanding about $50-$70k in good condition and at least $15K for a total resto I dont like your chances.
Sorry
Dave

Check your local Land Rover Discovery wrecker. Also the rear quarters off early Land Cruisers. I don't know of anyone who has done it, but have
seen reports on the forum of people contemplating this type of modification.

someone is making skylight window sections as replacement panels.
you just need 8 of them and weld them in. sounds easy :thumb
don't know about the sunroof though.
Most people seem normal, till you get to know them.

Nah, the 2 less windows are in the rear corners. The roof (above the rain gutter) is the same. They both have 8 sky lights and the sunroof! Am I
correct people!

Only in America? I had 6 wheels b I even bought the bug! best way to do it, get all parts then start the build! Besides, the size of those wheels
will need some serious work to get any sort of clearence, better now than after its finished!
N! That type 2 look awesome!

Dave from Creative-engineering in the UK recently converted an ambulance into a 21 window deluxe. I think he has templates to make the framing for the
windows. I'll have to re-read the article, or you could ask him if he sells these sections yet. He has all sorts of other sheet metal that
he's selling, so might be able to make up something for you. Wouldn't hurt to ask, and it would be rust free too!

I had a vision for the car, and Fuchs being as rare as they are, you got to grab them when you can. I knew from b4 I bought a bug, that it would have
either Stockies or fuchs. I have also had fender guides/poles, breezies, numourous badges, fog lights, mirror (which i now wont use!) tail lights,
curb feelers, and other things I cant think of, way b4 I had the car.
Oh and beleive me the wheels aint no where near what the car owes me!

roof section
Yes you can buy the roof window sections but I think that there only good as repair sections as you really need the inner skin of the roof which has
the pressings for the inside of the windows and also has the pressing for the inner part of the sunroof hole, Even the 15 windows had the same inner
section as it relied on the sunroof hole part but without the holes cut for the windows on the outer skin of the roof.
I'm sure you could let-in some of the windows sections into your roof but the strenght of the roof skin could be a problem without the inner
part/reinforcement panel also the window seal might not seal as the lip/flange would only be half as thick. This is not good as 23/21 roof window
buses are prone to leaking at the best of time
Unity was that you driving down chaple last wednesday morning in your notch I was in the white bus passing that nice black bug that was parked up

K-Kid, HAve you got 15X4.5's? If so you will know how rare they are! After I have bought mine, I still havent come across any other
"early" fuchs. you can get the "newer" flatter style no problems, but the earlies are heaps harder to find! Too Much money, no
way, I basically spend all my money on this car!

Unity,
I know how rare those are, I would love to find some for my van.
The only time I've come across some was when I found a set of 5 (3 x 4.5in & 2 x 6in), and they wanted $2000 with caps and nuts!
I missed out on that and have kicked myself ever since.

yourself over it, they will come up again!

Mr Bubble head, Yes that was me down chaps! That black bug is there every now and then, its very nice, but I wonder why they have 2 sets of indicators
on the front? It was the early 60's narrow ones on the top of the guards, and harley bullets on the bumpers! Weird!

going back to the van up there. I don'tthink there's another way he could have done it. The're Porsche rims on there with a narrowed
front end and all the sills replaced already. What else could he roll it on?

I think if your going a stock wheel or something similar, and if is going to be stock height or a little lowered, its cool to worry about the wheels
later on, but when you are going to extremes, you must do a fit up to see if its all going to go together the way it should. When going as low as
that bus, you need to raise wheel wells and widen them for clearence! There is no point Clearencing stock wheels, when your going something totally
different!
Chris what bus you got? Or is that the pmg red bus Dean has got?
