Camper rust repairs

Hi all

Does anyone know any good resto/panel-repair shops in Melbourne (preferably northern suburbs or close to town). I have some nasty looking rust spots coming up along the drivers side roofline of my 71 camper as well as a couple of small patches under the windscreen. I want to get these cut out or repaired professionally and then do the respray myself.

Also if this does require cutting and welding does anyone have any idea what these places charge for that sort of thing (assuming it is just a few small sections)?

Cheers
Tim

You might like to give Jeff Hind smash repairs in GHriffith Ave., East Bentleigh, a call at 03 9563 7955. He did my rust work, and I'm happy with the result.

As you'll probably need the windscreen out and they're not easy to remove intact, you might be up for another $150 for a new screen; I don't know whether you'll have to have the hoodliner removed and reinstalled for the roof repairs.

I guess you'll be looking at a few hundred (from your description) for the metalwork.

Thanks for the info modulus. Ill check him out.

By the way I saw your dual cab at the Bachus Marsh swap meet - its sweet. Ever since Ive been trying to convince my wife that we need one instead of the camper but she says she likes sleeping "inside".

Cheers
