ugly bug - renault

was just browsing ebay and a renault 4cv caught my eye. looks like a crossover between a bug and an Austin Westminster, cool curves and over-all shape, suicide front doors, ealry 50's and powered by a rediculously small aircooled engine (rear engined i believe). it is a unique, but not ugly looking vehicle, which got me thinking, what would it look like if it were given similar treatment to a bug or t3? (chopped roof, lowered, subaru powerpack, custom wheels, nice paintjob) could it take a subaru powerplant? could a later renault (say a renault 10) take a subaru transplant? what could be more sexy (non VW) then an early renault alpine with a porsche or subaru flat 6?

Ummm... An early Renault Alpine with an early Renault Alpine motor?

My bro-in-law had a Renault 10 with a warm 1600 from the Renault 16, which is just about a bolt-in swap, and that was a *lot* of fun to drive.
