Adelaide repaired of rear shock mount?

Does anyone in the Adelaide area know where I could get the body mounting for the rear shock absorber? Mine got knocked off going over a pot hole, there is nothing left on the bodywork save for a small hole (which looks like it should be there).

Also any Adelaide companies that would be able to do the welding job to stick the mounting back on properly?

Thanks
Ian

what type of VW ??

top or bottom mount ?

The shocks don't mount to the body on a beetle, only the floorpan.
I find it hard to believe that a pot hole would break one !!!

Maybe the nut has come loose, you've lost the shock bolt, and you need to replace that :jesus

Try Paul Kennedy at Volksfactory, ph. 8264 6533. He has a big stock of dismantled parts, seems to know a lot of other dismantlers he gets stuff from if he hasn't got it and also gets new stuff in from interstate if necessary, usually next day. Seems to put a much smaller loading on new stuff than another local firm (that recently changed its name). Has a big workshop and 2 good mechanics, Ian and Graham. (Warning - Paul often sounds miserable and grouchy as his back is shot, but he's OK!)
