! ADR's and Oz Rodders !

I have never seen an Ozzie Rodder based on a VW pan / shell. Is it possible in Oz?

I would assume many compliances like buggies would have to be followed but what other challengers would a prospective rodder come up against besides Mr. Plod wanting a closer look?

Just a shell at the moment Blue. Floorpan/chassis is about be started. Still trying to work out the best way to fix the botched chop... :(

Have spoken to two engineers ... both are ok with fenderless options. About to start discussion with a third who will be "the man" for the project. Expect it to be registered and driving (daily!) by early 2005.

Strange, I thought fenderless was illegal - no-one else seems to be getting away with it. That was one of the main reasons early cars, eg the famous '32 Ford Coupe (deuce coup,) but was I've seen in the magazines, they're cracking down on them, too. I'd love to build an open-wheeler, but it seems there is no way to do this anymore - I'd be interested in how your engineers think they can get around the law, or are they talking about one of these special regos where you can only drive it 12 days out of the year on official club events?

yeah but they have to have a cover over the wheel. the wheel needs protection co that another wehicle doesnt spear off the wheel in an accident. it can be attached to the body (like standard) or the the suspension and therefore hug the wheel and turn with it. but as far as i was aware like suicide doors and stuff like that you cant have no fenders any more.

I can organize someone in Sydney who could sort the roof out for you,Im going to do a 61 bug similiar but ive decided on getting a roof kustom made from Duece Kustoms in Victoria It is a fibo skin with stainless cross sections its a chopped 32 Ford tudor roof Kustomed. As for no fenders You can either Reg it with fenders and then take em off.Or leave em off and get club rego.

Eventually, When I'm old and silly I'd like to own a club registered T-bucket. A mates dad had one when I was a kid and we used to sit and drool at it like we were watching cartoons on the telly. After weeks of it and us just sitting there his dad started it up. I think this was my first orgasim.

It was only a two seater and club days were always short so I never got a ride. But I remember every bolt, piece of chrome and lumpy note of that ride. Just waiting for my second childhood to kickin so I can add it to my list of toys I'd like to play with before I expire.
