the adapter
Ok I give Doug Sweetman a yell I think he can tell you were to get a adapter from there is a guy down canningvale way that has one and I think doug
has his name or knows where he is .
From being told by other that have done this you are better to run a Kombi auto
these boxes will take the Hp a bit better than the manual ,this is a better set up in the sand as well .My mates race car has a V8 toyota quad cam
with a ford three speed auto its good in the sand ,should you require a kombi auto I have one thats not been in a race car nore been hamerd is has all
the bands and clutch plates replaced send me a U2U if you wish to know more .I know most dont wish to fork out some $ for shit box buggys .I seen some
v8 buggys in the sand and 70% of them with the gear box split spewing oil over our great land !

O.K GOES LIKE THIS. still need an adaptor as i am planing a new project. do you have contact details for this fella? sorry cant post pics yet but if
you are in perth i would be happy to show you. it is currently running a kombi auto but i would prefer a manual but may have to consider keeping the
auto. need good rear. (hopefully disc) brakes as the standard kombi brakes dont like stopping it. it runs about 220+ hp and with sprint car tyres you
have to try and stop it from flipping. the hardest part of the conversion is sourcing an adaptor and mounting a rad where it will keep cool. i am
using a 4 core rad with twin thermos and when the going get tough it still gets hot. the 3.5 is very light and the best ones are the older p6b rovers
but using the vanderplas heads and fuel injection but be prepared to use alot of fuel.aslo need 5-4 stud adaptors- any idea where i can get these?.
also esential when converting that you have a good sump guard as they love draging the bum on take off. what else can i say- it makes bush driving
lots of fun but a little scary when you hit about 180k's and try to slow down on gravel....

Ok here we go again
we had 5ltr rover motors in our buggy ( mates ) the rad was as follows about 1300mmx 800mm 4 core twin fans header tank with a air bleed at the top
.
I think you need to have a look at my mates car be for you go to far he does rads for a living so he can sort that out for you as well
you have this going by the sounds of things ?seagull
O forget the manual box you are wasting your time !
