Slammed my Audi
Got my H&R coilovers thanx to the ATO finally for my Audi ( i know its got nothing to do with VW's ) but Shazza's getting a new engine
thanx to Mr Costello
I cant beleive what a difference its made theres no understeer or body roll and off the mark there appears to be even more traction woo hoo
I decided to test it so i found this bend with a sign that said 55 with a truck tipping anyways at the time i was doing 80 down shifted to 2nd hit 110
around the bend and the adrenalin was pumping as this is the fastest i have ever been around a bend this calabre! Made it no probs!
Car looks hot and it gets more looks than before as the back is slammed unlike before so now the car has a flat appearance much like it handles.
Its suprising that its kept most of ride quality like when it was lowered with the 50mm springs (20% stiffer) the ride stayed nice and comfy now i
reckon these could be maybe 35% stiffer than stock which is barely noticible so Im laughing. Now my Fiance has got used to the straightline speed need
to get her used to the twisty speed i have now
Best way to describe is that when u hit a bend u go round like its on rails and shoots ya like ur on a roller coaster 8)
heres some pics

and heres me posing on the harbour bridge

H&R make coilovers for beetles too but only type 3's with IRS if anyone wants a mad handling bug i recommend this coilover kit:thumb

looks alright for plastic bumpers. lucky you have shaz :P those audi's go a treat though. you should recognise the first pic...
as for 110 round 55 bends. my beetle pictured below used to do that every day entering the expressway at gosford.... used to freak a lot of people
having this beetle sneak up the inside all squirmish.
used to go down kariong hill into gosford in the arvo lifting the inside rear wheel. THATS FUN! and aircooled at that.

yes the bumpers are plastic but at least its not Jap plastic actually I have a big VW symbol on my oil sump!
So really Biancas heart is VW but soul is Audi, at least Shazza and Bianca come from the same family so really Shazza is Biancas great
grandmother:kiss
Love them both and when I get Shazza back she'll be faster than ever!
