Weber 32 DIR 34

I have a Weber 32 DIR 34 off a Renault 12.
Is it worth putting it on my 1641sp instead of my current 30 pict 2?
I think that it would be an improvement, since it is double barrel and progressive.
Does anyone know where you can get an adaptor to convert the weber base onto the solex manifold, or would I have to purchase a new manifold?
Thanks ppl :)

Never heard of that one

I have had a 32/36 Progressive and had a different manifold for that.

MAYBE one of those would fit - doubt it though.

Dunno how hard jets would be for it. Would/could be easier with a DGEV/DFEV
set up

Yeah, I think I will just rebuild my current carby and reconsider at a later date.
Thanks :)

renault 12 = 1200cc. too small for an already asthmatic VW 1600.

you could jet down a carby from a holden 141 or 179 which I think the bolt spacing is not far off, but it'd be like swapping a dogshit sandwich for a brussel sprout hamburger.

look for a weber from a renault 16 (twin throat and suit a 1600cc already) or from a 2.0L cortina/escort and expect to jet it down. you will need to make your own manifold.

dont bother with adaptor plates, it's like filling a swimming pool with a fire hose that has a shirt button clamped in the middle of it.
