Where are you?
Take someone with you from a club, or take whatever you find to a local VW repair shop for a decent inspection. Don't rely on some shop who do every
model of car.
There are help addresses on the forum. Use the good will to make a solid decision. I took some photo's of some prospects and put them online, and got
some great advice.
Best of Luck!

I reckon I'd make sure to test drive several kombis and get an idea of how they are to drive.
I still have only driven two, and I don't know after owning my 74 bay for half a year whether or not she's 'the normal' kind of drive.
I reckon club people would be good to get help from. Ask someone who knows hey!
Good choice on the Kombi. But (careful look around), I can't honestly say I think they're the most reliable cars around! (runs and hides and yells
out in retreat): as much as I love my bus and would never sell her.

I bought my camper for $200
It'd just been a bit neglected, and the auto transmission was buggered (no reverse). I reckon the number plates on it were worth almost that much!
If at first you don't succeed. Build, build again.
Vehicle: 1975 Special order delivery walkthrough panel based LCA pop-top camper. Motor: Nippon 1.8L Single port Wasserboxer, Transmission: 3 rib 002.

haha. a veedub that's normal to drive. nice one.
mate, that is why ownership of a vw is such a big thing - every one you drive is different. compare the new rsi beetle to my 1200 whose motor is
blown, handbrake has fallen apart and brakes do bugger-all...
early 60s beetle for sale - ex bush basher - spares - $100 or offers
