Could you get them custom made? Like they do with the 70's Holden Monaro GTS wheels?
They cut the center out of the 14" and weld it on to a 15" rim in this case it will be a 15" cut and weld to a 16"...or
17"...or 18"!!!! :o

Hi
Some old pommy cars had a very similar stud pattern and they used 16 inch wheels, I had some on an old box trailer.

Depends what you want to do with them:
16x3.5 Barndoor rims (very hard to find and costalota)
16x6,6.5,7.0 (around $65 per blank outer plus cutting out and fitting wide 5 center, say $35 per rim = $100 each)
16x6 cheaper alternative (pick up some 16x6JJ Ford F100 rims -$5 ea at the local recycle yard, get a machine shop to cut centers out, say $20 per
rim, cut centers out of VW rims with angle grinder, tap center into F100 outer, use straight edge and ruler and set center to offset required, tack
weld in one spot only then jack up Beetle or Splitty and bolt rim to front hub and spin and tap in to place till running true then tack weld some more
to hold in place, take off car and complete welding. Cost approx $30 per rim)
Only attempt the later if you are a competant welder etc. I'm not sure of the legalities in some states but in Vic this is fairly common with Hot
Rodders. |

15" centers into a 16" outer rim? I think the well size is different between 15" and 16" meaning that the 15" center will be
2 small in diameter (could be wrong here OK!). I am putting 15" wide centres into one piece 15" alloy spun outers at the moment. I know that
the Matadore also has wide 5 centers in a 16" outer. Spotted some the other day.....
