loud exhaust
Ok 1916 with an empi single side quiet pack extractor, and its sooooo much louder than my mates type 3 with the same muffler. howcome? his car is a
stock 1600 but does that matter? How can this be modified to quieten her down?

it could be the intake not the exhaust. if your running twin webbers you will pick up alot more induction sound.
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!

and also does yours have a cam which i say it would "cams" give it a more lumpy sound and as what bix said if you have performance carbs then
induction noise's aswell!

cam, didnt think of that. the carb is a mid mount weber so induction noise pretty low I think. if I cant get her quiet I'll put a stock 1600 in it.
so a 1916 might be up for grabs. its done 65ks since full rebuild.
