price of early bay suspension
I have found an early bay front end drum to drum, rear suspension including drums and a L bug gearbox. The guy wants about $650.00 for it. Is this a
good price?

I've had to buy this stuff for my van.
I paid $250 for a complete front (clean with a bit of surface rust), but most of the brakes needed replacing, along with some of the ball joints. I
only needed the brakes/axles/springplates from the rear to do my IRS conversion, those bits cost me $120. I picked up a good beetle gearbox (not L
bug) for $100.
Those were my prices, just check if the parts are in good condition before you buy, and ask what will have to be replaced as well.
I didn't think much of my stuff when I first got it, but after attacking them with one of those 3M cleaning disks, they came up pretty good.
