road rage...
i dish it out on occasion in the confines of my own car to the amusment of my passengers.
mainly consists of loud swearing, horn honking and hand gestures. if its a bombadore thats cut me off i will drive up beside them and give them a
*very* stern finger
i would think road rage is pretty common seeing as how there are so many knobheads on the road these days who shouldnt have a license let alone a car.
Its pretty obvious they dont have brains to use them.
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

Usually restrained to cursing them from with the car - very occassionally they may get a gesture...
But
Have twice flattened dickhead drivers. One ran up my arse at a set of lights. He was still looking at the girl he was watching when he didn't bother
to stop. I hit him thru his window. Pulled him out and hit him several more times for being a dickhead.
2nd time. Hit while at lights by a glazier. He had no licence - his truck uninsured and unregistered. Was stupid enough to tell me he had just written
of his commonbore. Hit me hard enough that I pushed the Falcon in front of me into the intersection. After I pissed myself laughing that he lost all
of his glass on the truck I hammered him when he admitted he wasn't watching and when he looked up he thought "oh well just a VW and didn't want to
hit the brakes too hard!"

My worst experience was when a 'bloke' wanted to pass me.....
NO!! I wasn't going slow , either.
He mounted the median strip to get past me,
on Ipswich Road, outside the Oxley Cop Shop.
At the set of light up the road; for some reason he stopped.
The passenger got out and came over to me carrying a wheel wrench.......
Just to say 'hello'.......NOT.
Little did he realise I am such a big S0-and-So.
I sat him upon the road and the driver sicked his German Shepherd onto me,
The dog was as silly as him.
It just looked at me..................

Yeah people, chill out. Don't succumb to the rage, there's enough knobheads and dickheads out there. Of course, I can understand that restraint
might be difficult if some dumb bastard drives into your precious while you're stationary at the lights. That is really crap!
I drive a kinda-tired bay bus, so I sometimes have frustrated people 'waving' at me, particularly going up hills. I just pretend that they were
waving at me and wave back, smiling. Shits them to tears sometimes. Patience IS a virtue, right.
Peace.

well a tricky situation as i have been in both situation of being and road raging.....
i have been a victim cause i was smoking in my car and the wind blew my butt away as i had my arm resting by the window while driving....i know not a
good thing...anyway that hyppy greeny started to rad rage me for littering....and i apologised by the window but he kept on going and stucking himslef
at my ass, beeping the horn and yelling so i took a detour towards the cop station, parked my car got out of it and said ...if you got a problem lets
go inside and explain it to the officer on duty...and the guy walked away...lol.
i know i was in a bad in a way but i though tat was a bit extreme...
i have road rage someone as someone cut me off while i was on my bike and nearly run me over....beeped my horn and they ignored me....so got near them
and abused them....they still ignored me....so i kicked their door...and kept on going....but then they started to abuse me.....then i ended up being
the bad guy...quite ironic....and stupid...considering she nearly ran me over...
my 2 cents

The road is just full of morons ! I travel on the freeway to work each and the number of people that get in my way really piss me off ! They chop and
change lanes, cutting people off and then hammering the brakes. Do they no realise that if they stay in the same lane and drive at the speed limit (or
a little bit over !:thumb) Then they will arrive at their destination at the same time and less stressed ????? I do show my middle finger often
though, more when I am driving hubbys suburu. It is a big tough mans car and people don't mess with it .... They just laugh at my beetle !!!!!! |

I only lose my patience with dickhead drivers who have little or no regard for other road users, like:
travelling slower than the speed limit (kombis excepted)
not indicating
speeding up at overtaking lanes
not keeping left unless overtaking

I tend to get very annoyed when I'm alone. I often shout and swear at people from the safety of my own car. When I'm with other people I'm usually
much more restrained because angry drivers make me very nervous. My dad in particular scares me. He has a horrible tendancy to follow very closely but
will happily point out how stupid other people are for doing the same.
I like to have fun with angry drivers too. Whenever I see someone following me too closely, I usually make sure I'm dead on (at least as dead on as
you can be in an old Beetle) the speed limit. After a few seconds they usually figure it out and back off.

What pisses me off is when people's cars are more capable than mine at doing the speed limit (or more) and they sit about 5-10km/h under. On roads
where there are small sections where I could pull out and overtake I would have to cane my car to get past them so i just sit there and wait and wait
until an overtaking lane and then they speed up and i get up next to them and they go a bit faster so i dont get past, the overtaking lane ends and
they slow down again. On most suburban, 1 lane each way, roads you cant overtake.
Also people going slow in the right lane, unless they're planning on turning soon. Sometimes i go in the right lane to go past slower drivers only to
be blocked by a car that is doing the same speed as those in the left lane, but they're not moving across. If i'm in the right lane and already
going the speedlimit or faster and someone comes up behind me wanting to go faster then I move across.
MY STORY
The worst incident i have experienced was at a shell servo. I was just came out from paying and got into the car and straight away the lady behind me
was tooting. I wanted to quickly check the amount of litres i put in before moving forwards so I could track my fuel consumption, so I look over
towards the pump and next thing i know she's at my window yelling at me saying "some people actually have to get places you know". This lady was
like 65 or something and I really didnt expect it. I tried to explain what I was doing and that i would only be 10 more seconds but then she started
going on about young people having no respect and being selfish. That sent me off the edge. I started swearing and abusing the lady and she just
ignored me and got back in her car. Anyway i thought screw it i will forget about checking the litres. So i started the car and moved forwards, then
decided that i wasn't going to be pushed around by some lady, so i got out and went to the pump and wrote down the litres. Next thing shes out of her
car again saying "you lay one finger on me and i'll call the cops, they'll lock you up, your a criminal". That sent me over the edge again and I
went off "f**k you b*tch, you think young people are selfish, look at yourself, i was only going to be a few seconds and then you go off at me. have
some patience, you aren't the only person in the world". Then I drove into a parking space to cool down. What annoyed me is that she made it out so
that I was the one doing the wrong thing AND there were about 3 other pumps that were totally free when she originally pulled up behind my car. |

I am a very unconfronting person, but behinfd the wheel...lots of yelling a nd honking, a few hand waves...
This one guy in some sorta 2 door thing with a tail pipe the size of a storm water drain was stuffing around in front of me...he slowed down too fast
and I end up quite close..I woulod have taken up most of his mirror...He looked thru his back window at me giving ME a look...I gave him the "yes yes
move along, disaster averted" look and wave. He just sat there trying to get the last look...several time of gestures that should be aimed at small
children he moved off...then he changed lanes and tail gated me...Now we have stedel bumpers so I dont really care but then ..I must admit I went that
little anoying bit under the speed limit..here is the best bit, he went to do a big tough undertake and his "car" backfired...sucked in dickhead
Also
Why do people think I need to know they have already turned. much better to use those flashy light things to tell people you are GOING to turn.
Why do people think that pulling out in front of an old van is a good idea. old, non power asisted Drum brakes, wieght in the back, steel
bumpers...sure it aint no accelerating machine but it still does move at the speed limit..
oh and a big one. pulling up to the lights in the left lane when they were in the right behind you and there are cars parked just the other side of
the intersection. accelerate just enough to not let them in.
people hate to be over taken by an old kombi.

I once had to make my way to the police station after some angry young man tried to force me into oncoming traffic. Took offence cos my GTI blew him
into the weeds from a set of traffic lights. Wasnt even racing, just in a hurry. Had to do some crazy driving to stop him from stopping me. In the
end, he took off when we got to 100m from the station. If my gf wasnt in the car, I could have escaped him with sheer speed.

I mutter things under my breath in general....but one thing that really bothers me is people cutting me off. I have drivers that like to while i am
driving at the limit, overtake me and then in the space of about 200m or so pull back in and make a left hand turn...for the life of me i cant work
out why someone would do such a thing especially when i have to brake hard to avoid running up the back of them (i have come to expect it more now so
i am slowing down more anytime someone passes me). I would expect that the difference in time from travelling in the left lane or making the strange
maneouvre would be so minimal that it is pointless....If i could get hold of the drivers who do this and had the power i would be cancelling their
licences immediately.

I broke my second beetle horn this morning due to a stupid *&#$ing Commodore driver who decided it wasn't necessary to give way at a give way

Ah yes roundabouts! Most people have no idea how they work!
Most of these bloody things should be removed as no one seems interested in educating people how they work.
So many people think "Give way to the right" anyone to your right. In fact in only means give way to traffic IN the roundabout to your right. In a
fourway roundabout with four cars approaching from each direction at the same time no one has right of way! You are expected to enter the roundabut at
a reasonable speed and therefore all four cars can enter at the same time!
So many people come flying up to roundabouts and force their way in because they think they are on the right of the car entering ahead of them. They
are not!
A friend of mine was hit by such a moron. He said to the coppers... Look, I t-boned him on the right he was supposed to give way why should I brake?
The look on his stupid face was brilliant when the copper gave him a quick lesson on how he was now up for dangerous driving as he admitted he took no
evasive action and he also didn't have right of way. MORAL- Just because you are on the right of the car unless you are in the roundabout they don't
have to give way to you!

I sympathise with all the bikers - I ride a pushy most of the time. I expect to be ignored/not seen, so I just have to take my time and always make
eye contact with the drivers. Doing hook turns at any intersection also freaks out some people. Go hook turns! Hehe. Oh and yeah, roundabouts are
fun aren't they!
