fuming

Hi
I am a newbie (74) Kombi owner, I stopped at the lights the other day and noticed that after about 1 minute the fumes (exhaust??) were coming out of the de-mister vents I shifted the front vent closed and it seemed to stop, I still smell exhaust in the bus. Any clues??, it is hard driving with the windows down in the Melbourne rain...

Agree

Get them fixed otherwise you run the risk of falling asleep at the wheel from the CO (carbon monoxide) from the exhaust.

thanks all, turns out it was oil on the bottom of the engine burning off when the motor got hot. Nothing a good steam clean won't fix.

cheers
