Eyebrows almost cost my right eye
Just a little tip for those pulling apart the early model headlights. I recently got some German rolled edge Eyebrows for the 57. The day before the
DOVW they arrived in the post. I was all exited and started to pull the light apart to fit my new bits.
Next thing one of the wire springs that hold the head light assy in , sprang out and hit me in the left eye. F****ng near layed me out. I thought for
a horrible minute that it had pierced my eye. Thank fully the thing had hit side on not point in. Still had a nasty looking bloody eye for about a
week. (As anyone who saw me at the DOVW will attest to)
Moral of the story, wear safety googles if you are pulling these things apart.

yeah there are afew DANGEROUS items on a VW ... you need protection.
So your eyebrows, are they the brass rolled ones or do they have the sharp back edge on them.

Hi Dave , they are the rolled edge German ones. I had some of the repo type with folded lip on the 57 and changed them over with the new ones.
I don't think that the new ones I have are NOS. More likely a german repro.
They almost cost me an eye in the literal sense. $$$$$
