Finally a win!!

Finally got QBE to accept my valuation of the 72 Deluxe Bus.. So, after 4 months and through no fault of mine, repairs can start.. Phewww!!

Worth the exercise though.. If I hadn't stuck to it, that would have been one more beautiful early bay in the scrappers..

here is their email.........

Robert,

It means that Londenderry will repair your vehicle for the cash settlement amount. Please confirm with them first before accepting our offer.

Thank you.

There isnt much point trying the mainstream if your car is over 30 years old. Most insurance companies simply wont comprehensively insure the vehicle.

The only online quotes for insurance i got were from NRMA and RACQ. But it makes no sense. RACQ will be $1600 per year for comp. and NRMA will be $530 per year for com... bit of a difference.

Then RACQ for 3rd party property is $190 per year and for fire and theft is $230.
For NRMA they only had third party property damage for $610. Go figure... i think i need someone to explain it all to me!

My '75 kombi camper is insured with NRMA - fully comp only $270 because I've got 60% no-claims bonus
NRMA were great when the nose needed replacing last year, paid up no fuss.
