Bonnet adjustment - type 3

Anyone know how to adjust properly the catch for a type 3 front bonnet so that it closes and catches properly.
I need to know for both early and late type (if different).
I push the bonnet closed and it wont catch and lock down properly.:cry

sounds like the " Dogs Dick " the part that has the small sprng on it is wound too far in.

Undo the lock nut and wind it out a bit then do it by trial and error. dont forget to do up the lock nut.

yeah got to agree with sleepe3, thats the first thing you should do is replace the pull cable with an aftermarket type and relocate it out of the cardboard glove box area.

Ive done this on both of my type 3 wagons.
