Please answer the question, so I can get a'beltin
He he
that made you look.
I am trying to mount seat belts into my '56, but want to get the measurements from a late beetle owner. The question is, from the edge of the
body (not the pan) how high up the pillar are your belt pivots? to the centre of the bolt if you could answer would be great.
Now I realise that my seat heights etc may change this, but I want the VW height as a benchmark, and preferable not go any lower.

You should have sat inside mine and seen where the seat belt came to when bolted above the semaphore...
"yes you are right it sucks" the belt is too high and tends to rub on ones neck, had to get those daggy seat belt pads to reduce
chaffing.
ps. have you ducked in to Mike's yet.

Oops
yeap,
dropped in the other day to find out where he was and to ask about a sand blaster in the area. He gave me a name for Scotts Sandblasting. I like hte
kombi/ute mix that they are doing
I have still got the tape and am getting my comp fixed (hopefully) and a new recording program tomorrow, so I should be able to drop your tape off
with a CD of the sound on it.
