Good idea but...
Welded caliper brackets?
Lots of ugly if not done right
& totally illegal over here.
Wes has a much better conversion using XF falcon bits.
Best off talking to him about it.
P.s. fully fabricated trailing arms? LOTS of illegal over here too :o

it's not my caliper kit, it's custom offroads kit.
getting idea's from US guys usually doesn't work over here, legality wise. To fit rear disc brakes you need both the brake design and installation
approved. The custom offroad kit is already approved (in QLD at least).

custom offroad rear disc kit
http://www.customoffroad.com.au/reardiscs/discbrakes.htm
I did mine using 2nd hand parts which makes it cheaper, however if you like new stuff then you won't get out of it much cheaper sourcing the stuff
yourself.

Nice kit, I like the look of it. Good price too, it's cheaper than any rear disc kit that you can get over here. If it was available over here I
would have been tempted.
However the setup I made cost me about 1/4 of the price of that kit, including the machining.
The vented rear discs seem like overkill though. With my braking set to the rear my car stops better than a lot of modern cars! I'm constantly
impressed by how well the system works. The important thing is that
the whole system is balanced on and off road, and mine is. I know that the front or back isn't going to lock up way before the other. I guess I got
lucky when I stuck the Porsche 944 master cylinder on. :thumb |
