Just out of interest...

What tranny set-up have you got?

Is it IRS or swing and what ratios are you running?

What size tyres and rims are you using?

Congrats on a good time. You must be driving well to keep it that consistent and not be breaking stuff.

staging?

Have you set up your rear suspension for the drags at all? and what tyres are you using? is your tranny strapped at all or running a Berg front
mount?

By the way how are you driving it?
Did you do a big burnout or anything to warm the tyres up? Are you loading up the tranny on the line to try and avoid breakages? How close are you to
lifting the front wheels with a time like that?

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my car to get it to go ok. It's a subie 2.5 powered J&S buggy with t3 IRS and an 1800 bus box (+ bus
CVs). At the moment it axle hops terribly. It ripped the front gearbox mount in two in first gear the first time I took it out to test it.

Big dumb power! :thumb

I guess your going to bus CVs at some stage are you?

Some offroad guys in the states use datto 280zx(or like that) irs driveshafts instead of cvs and axles. They reckon they are stronger.

Which tranny are you using? the Lbug one?

FWIW - T1 Cvs will handle a lot of power but... axle hop kills them, and when you leave the line the axles need to be level (parallel to the ground)
so you dont load up one part of the CV, you spread it round the whole cage. You are more likely to snap an output than the CV if it is set up right.
