My Cruise Control + Gear change problem
Hi Guys thanx for your comments to my other post. I took it to the service centre so they can check the Cruise Control problem and my gears were not
changing smoothly in the Auto car and they said they found a fault in the Throttle Body that was creating the malfunction in the Cruise Control and
the gear change.
Does this seem accurate to you? My brother seems to think that the Throttle body would have nothing to do with the Cruise control just shutting off by
iteself and only working when the engine restarts?
Please help.

The throttle body cold effect the cruise. in that the cruise will apply a certain amount of throttle to keep the speed and if the throttle bosy was
malfuntion it could be affecing this. It would probably be the posistion senseor as this may also effect gear change as the gear cahnge in the auto
would use the throttle posisition to help detemine when to change gears and how many to kick down etc
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!

Thats pretty likely . Dirty throttle bodies are a common problem in all late model cars . VW throttle bodies still use a rheostat type system with
voltage ranging from around 1v at idle to about 5v full throttle . Do you still have an accelerator cable or is it fly by wire ?
