there are a couple of guys on here who own/ed them.
i think that fuel economy of the TDi golf was bloody great.
something like 700/800km per tank?
some people are like slinky's
they have no useful purpose
but they are fun to watch
when you push them down the stairs

the non turbo one i see not as golfs but as "licence savers!" they dont move!!! but AWSOME on the fuel saving

Mk 3 TDI's were stump pullers!!! HUUUUUUGE torque. Got up and danced... Good luck finding one!!!
Mk1 1800 diesels honked and were beautifully frugal, but sounded like a truck!!!
Mk4 GT TDI's are good for 8.5 secs to 100!!!!!!! Thats moving! And they are hell refined!!!
