What would you buy for $30ks?

I picked up a copy of Unique cars, had two LHD KGs for $23k & $27k and a split for $17ks? I am just thinking if I am about to spend around $30k on a car, would I really go for a vintage VW? When you consider the choices in this price range, there is a lot of good buys out there. So what would you buy?

You often see beetle wrecks pretty much complete for around $300

Buy 100 of em and start a graveyard

Even better look for $100 wrecks and have 300 of them

i would use the 30k to further enhance one or several of my rides more. like bigger motors and running gear etc.
that or look at trying to get a 356.

So why did you buy a new beetle cabrio for twice the price of a KG when what you really want is a KG?

Me, I would finish the build of the SubaManx, finish the Raaf rat kombi, and put the rest towards a 356 for resto or a replica 356 speedster.

When I handed over my $50,000 to the lovely salesman I knew that it was the last I would have to spend. My car runs reallywell all the time. It has the convienence of all the modern extras, HEATED leather seats, air con, full electrics, heated mirrors, automatic roof, CD player, airbags, roll over protection etc etc ..... Could never hope to get all of that in a KG !
