Rego Check - any tips?

Next week I am having my 69 bug inspected for rego changeover, to NSW. Any tips for what I should be looking at specifically? 2 things that concern me:

- Sports steering wheels - do I need to fir a standard wheel or can I keep this one on?

- oil leaks - how harsh are they? How much is too much?

Any advice appreciated, thanks.

the better question about oil leaks is how bad are they? things like structural rust, splits in seats covers, tires not inside the guards

Make sure everything works and works well
Use stock parts as much as possible eg:wheels+tyres etc
make sure it is detailed and free from crud underneath

and pretend you know nothing about cars! "Split washer...?Whats that sir?"
