Hmmmm
Just looked at stats to see who is member of the day and it's still me?
I've only just arrived home from work and just logged on??
I know I did go a wee bit over the top yesterday, those figures must carry over.
What have you all been doing today, having a life or something?

I finally put my padal assembly back in since its a reasonable temperature outside today, not blowing a gale and the heavens arn't falling in.
Replaced the spark plugs, stuffed a lead cap and gave the dog a wask since it has be covered in mud for about three weeks.
This morning I helped my father-in-lae replace the slave cylinders in one of his farm quads and replaced a powersteering hose that blew on his wifes
crappydore.
The minister of finances is out contributing to the move house kitty so I'm minding the little bronze medalions.
Hotdog, icecream, story and bedtime - were up to icecream .

Well I intended to get Bel looked at, get some shims to loosen her fan belt as I don't have any and to see if someone could put a weld in the
inlet maifold so I can take her cruising next weekend.
I was meant to finish work at 3 and was going to arrange to have her looked at if I could find someone open and with the time. Ended up I didn't
get a break to call anyone and finished work at 6 pm. Had had only 1 coffee before work and no break. We got slammed at YHA Travel Centre,
unbelievable. Had one couple come in with their backpacks on and heading to the airport, they were wanting to join up.
So many people wanting accom in places like Sydney on New Year, everything is booked out. Tickets being picked up, tours wanted ASAP etc, and my
computer decided to play up. Hey but it's an exciting place to be.
My eyes are tired from looking at a computer screen all day so I think my posts will be limited tonight
Think I may have a :beer |

Been there done that Jen.
It was a "Bavaria Premium Beer" at %5 which is actually a holland beer.
Did a little job for a mate of mine whose a geography author - he didn't have a GPS and I did, told him two coordinates and he reciprocated with
a 6 pack of various premium beers from all over the world.
Tomorrow night I have a "Westcoast Original Crafted 'MONTEITHS'S' Rata Honey and Spice Flavoured Summer Ale" also at 5%. I
guess it's not always what you know...

Bronze, that sounds good!!
Just had two glasses of red so if my words slur you'll know why:o Thinking about eating now
Planning my next move for tomorrow now. Phone Volkscare and hope Michael is there and free before I have to get to work. Get shims at least, find a
muffler repair kit before work.
Dr L's battery is flat again, thinking of phoning RACV to get him started and take a long run before I turn in. Leave my daughter a note with
things she can get in for me 'cos I missed getting to the Vic Market for fresh produce.
Hmm, my list is growing
p.s. I'm still here just taking a break for food:jesus

Yeah you better soak up that red before you go for a drive.
The only red I have in the house is port. The soldiers friend.
Thinking of giving the Dog-O-War a polish tomorrow. Last time it had one was when I bought it, I cut and polished him and got to have a good look at
the base colour of the fibre glass. It's getting a bit thin in places. The roofrack needs a paint too.
All I asked for for Xmas from Santa was a pedometer to join UCQ (Rocky uni's) 10,000 steps program which promotes people to become more active
daily and reach 10,000 steps a day; and a bottle of fishoil. I'm easily pleased.
I bought myself a carby kit to wrap up and put under the tree for instal Xmas or boxing bay and finally I've soaked my claxlan horn
("Gharoooooogha" in WD to break up the mud, grit and rust from
within. A couple of days soaking and a scrub with the wire brush should hopefully get it going again.

Bronze treasure the days you have when the kids are young they are so precious. It sounds like you do. Remember when we were young and needing to
seperate ourselves from our parents, that's to come, so make hay while the sun shines.
I brought my kids up to think for themselves and to reach for what ever they wanted and that's what they are doing right now. I love them for it
and wish I'd had parents that allowed that.
Have just nrecieved a card from my son who has been travelling for the past 9 months through Africa, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey. He is now inh London
with a friend of mine. Simon will be away fro possibly 3 years. Longer or shorter depending on where life leads him. Simon remembers what I have
taught him, our journey together, he is on his journeys and he is understanding. To get a letter like I have then you know it is worth letting them go
and to see for themselves.
My family is small this Christmas but there is reason
Honestly what Simon has written is the best present anyone could ever wish for!!

Jen, is the spot you need to have welded accessible, or does the pipe need to come out first?

The spot could be welded and is accessable but at this time of year, impossible. I bought a muffler repair kit which I don't think is suitable
and I don't have tin cutters.
Also the kit has a bandage as well as the sheet of metal, the guy said put the bandage on last but I can't tell by the instructions because they
don't mention the bandage and the metal comes with things that you attach a screw belt onto!!!:o
I only have a narrow pipe not a muffler, and I have no wire to use instead of the screw belt
p,s, Col. You know the fan belt. If all the shims are in the bell and not immediately behind the nut does that mean they are all in use and I need
more?
The new fan belt is very tight and I scared I'm going to hurt Bel

Merry Christmas Jen
Jen,
You only count the washers used between the two pulley halves... all the washers on the outside of the pulley, ie, under the domed washer are
spares.....
this is where they are put when NOT being used between the two pulley halves.... I hope this helps Jen..
and I don't how You keep winning with the most posts Jen... I have tried hard and won it twice but boy, it took Me most of the day & night...
also I seem to write long posts... I keep thinking don't write so many different topics in the one post... make them all individual....
Merry Xmas

Merry Christamas! Hope you've all had a good day!! I've eaten too much and feel like I need a sleep
I think I'm just weak, had a couple of guys test the fan belt and they think the tension is OK.
Yeah, I was beginning to think some of those shims under the bell were spares. I don't think I put any between the pulleys though.
Have done a quick repair in that hole in the inlet manifold using some of that melty bandage stuff and cutting a piece of the muffler kit metal sheet,
one small size clamp and some wire.
Dr L needed to be jump started 4 times today. He doesn't seem to be holding a charge. My brother-in-law seems to think it might be his fan belt,
it looks a bit old and loose. Or it could be the alternater? Would that have been check when I had his electrics looked at before to see what the prob
is?
Cheers:party |
