Missing Budgie?

I have a squeak somewhere in my front end that only kicks in as I hit 60kmph. It is high pitched and seems to have little to do with going over bumps.
Any ideas, similar experiences, words of comfort and support?
Car is a 62 T1 with john Sherman discs and otherwise stock front end.

Could it be your brake pads? Dedust and check for glazing of the pads and disc.

Bearings can make a high pitched squeal if they are dying (remembers and shudders). How's their grease levels? Oh, and is the uhh..tightness of the...adjuster whatsit (long day, okay!) on the stub axle about right? if its too tight or too loose it can cause all sorts of noises. Can someone fill in the names of the things please. My manuals are in the bedroom, and well, it means having to get up.
