Aerial Connection ??


Here are some pics of the aerial connection for my '56.

It appears that something is missing cause I don't reckon it looks right.

Any thoughts?

the wire connection must screw in...
I've never seen one that screws in...
thay usually just go into the antenna housing....
the centre connector goes to the antenna itself and the outer braid is earthed to shield ignition noise...
maybe all the early types screwed in...
It looks like You need a new antenna...

I would be buying a new twin post one from Vintage they look great and period as well.

make sure the new one has a good grounding to the body work

looks like something is missing but carnt see what from yr pics

I was hoping for better news.

The fuse was blown in the old system before the re-build so I don't know if it was even working before.

Would it be possible for the VVDS crew to bring one up to Valla or would it be just as easy to phone the order and have it posted.
