Cheapo reust repair

Daisy the T2.5 as a bit of rust. Nothing terminal - but i have ground it out, treated it and bogged it up.

Now, she has a 2 pac paint job. I have some spare paint and was planning on just brushing it on.

Do i need any special primer - or will the stuff in a can do??
