Hiya VW'bers,
Got myself a topless 74 'bug' and am looking at chopp'n off the 'window frames' on the front doors, if that makes n e sense!...lol Would
appreciate N E feedback from those of u who've been there & done that, and of course suceeded as well. Would also appreciate any pics if
possible!
Un4tuneately I haven't uploaded a pic of me bug yet, and will attempt it once i get a chance 2 wander the site sum more................Peace

2 CHOP OR NOT~
I am in the same situation, with my 64
but I am having thoughts of maybe not cutting & just matt blacking the part of the door cause @ when it was on the road I had no draft or rain get
in & that is handy in BALLARAT~ i was toying with the idea of making the top part of the doors re clip in & out & put rubbers in between.

had one that was chopped this way it had about 2 inches of the tops of the window channel at the front but that was all it didnt look good

Yeah, spose I got 2 remem tha 'chill' factor wen its cold & raining out, as tha softtop aint strengthened around where the window will end up once the frames gone. Also not sure if theres gonna be any movement with the window once tha frames gone!!
