Spare key!

If your not too fussed about the remote locking part of the key, you van buy a volkswagen blank key with an imobilisor chip in it and use that!!!
Part # 1Ho 837 219A
Your vw or seat dealer should be able to program that key to your car!
I THINK!!!! by memory you might be able to pull the vw key apart and swap the chips!???

This is how to reprogramme the chip

Check with your local VW Dealer for compatibility. If you just want to change the insides because your remote body is looking bad that will work. You just pop the top off of your key then put the key that works in the ignition. Next turn the car on but don't start it. Get out of the car leaving the key ON.Take your new (old key) thats attached to the new remote and put it in the driver door. Pump the key to the right twice, the second time hold it for twenty seconds then let go and hit unlock. Its that easy don't get caught up in the secrets...its no secret! Don't waist your time with the uncut key hype! Good luck!!

sounds easy eh
