hehe. i get to stick my tongue out at all you VW powered drivers, just took a look at the manual, and whilst you all have to use premium unleaded to get a high enough octane rating , my little ea81 only needs an 88octane fuel, so std unleaded for me woohoo! also found out that there is a rare dual port version of my engine that pumps out 120bhp in stock form, sweet. i presume the engine was originally set up for leaded fuel (made around 1982) is there any way i can tell for certain? cant seem to find it written in any manuals?

maybe try a Subaru forum, not a VW forum for info on Subaru engines. :duh





only stirring, I've got a non VW engine in my Kombi too. :kiss
