Clutch pedal vibration. why!!!!!!!

now we are looking at a 67 beetle for my wifes friend and I have just taken it for a test drive and the clutch is slipping and there is also a vibration coming thru the pedal. Has anyone experienced this problem and what would cause the vibration. I know it is hard to give an answer if you can feel it but any idea would be appreciatted. also any idea on the cost for a new clutch plate. There is some free play on the pedal so i don't believe the clutch is adjusted wrong.
Hopefully it may be down at the gold coast dub show and take out the shitter class. it needs some TLC

Any advice or help would be appreciated

thanks

Sounds to me the pressure plate is broken, it means the fingers on the pressure plate arent even , therefore when you press the clutch pedal it vibrates. Also check that the welds on the clutch tube arent broken away.

also check the bowden tube.

New clutch kit is under $250 with pressure plate, clutch plate and throw out bearing

would it also make a clicking noise as you press the pedal in if the pressure plate was broken.
