Negative Camber

Hi all,

I am curious to know if anyone has maxed out the negative camber on the front of a pre ball-joint beetle? I am curious to know how much can be achieved by moving the camber spaces.

I have done a quick search of the forums but haven't come up with many answers.

I know that its not possible too reach any serious negative camber however I am still curious to know.

Cheers,

Matt.

about 1 1/2 deg neg (max of 2 deg), after that you will get link pin binding.

No the shims DONT adjust the camber

you have to actually bend the arms in a press and then you wont be able to make the thing work as if wont travel trhough its arc and will bind up

The shims are there to align the top and bottom arms and make them swing or travel through the suspensions arc without binding

Better off converting to a Ball joint front end if you want to get negative camber and once again bend the trailng arms in a press,
