H.S.C. #2 cam?
I am the middle of a rebuild of a second hand 1835 engine. The cam in it is marked HSC #2. It appears to be a reground vw cam. Has anyone heard of
this brand and know what sort of specs it might have? I am after something with good low and midrange torque as it will be going in my 66 panel.
Thanks Nik

Nik,
Its an old Perth based company, High Speed Conversions, who shut up shop in the 80's but their cam grinds live on - I know they are still being sold
over here.
There is a #1, #2 and #3. I have a #2 in my 1835 beetle - I wouldnt put it in a kombi, its more 2800 - 3000rpm onwards sort of cam (its meant to be
their hot street cam). #1 was a mild street cam, and #3 a drag cam from what I know of.
there is a little bit of information on this forum if you do a search for it.
Cheers,
Doug

Thanks Doug. Anyone have any sugestions for a good cam for a kombi? I have a 69mm counterweighted crank, standard valve heads and kadrons.
Thanks Nik
