G'day to all in VW Land

Hello to all in VW land and I look forward to driving you all crazy with my questions as soon as I get my hands on an early bug.
I have not previously owned a VW so I will be asking some questions which may seem obvious to the more experienced so please go easy on me.;)

Regards

Welcome to the forum LittleO and good luck with your entry into the wonderful world of dubs.

Just a friendly suggestion. If you plan on doing any work on the car yourself, or even if you just want to learn about it, buy yourself a service manual now. This will answer alot of the basic questions. It may be worthwhile for you to join a club in SA as they are a great way of finding cars for sale.

Well thanks heaps people, it's always nice to feel welcome.

PurpleT3, I have already begun my purchasing of workshop manuals as I like nothing more than to read before I put a spanner to work.

I do like to do almost all mechanical work myself especially the stuff I feel confident about.

Joining a club is on the list of things to do also as well as search Ebay for more reading material.

Many Thanks

56ovaltine,
the best place to ask that is in the tech section, either of the first two areas. I have a beetle and a type 3, so I am no use to you. Most of the peopel won't look in here for a technical question,
cheers
