I search for a Kombi....

Hiya,
I am on a hunt to find a Kombi that will withstand a roadtrip to Darwin and back. I have seen a few already and they have been desecrated by backpackers who, quite frankly, have not given their Kombi's much love at all. I'm not looking for some original 1959-split-screen-27 window Westfalia in spanking mint condition, just something in good nick with a decent, reconditioned engine. As there will be two of us, a double bed, cooker, fridge etc would be good. I thought I would try this site as I would rather buy from an enthusiast than someone flogging a heap. Thanks.

hmmm, I know what you mean about some people not caring!:cry

There are always quite a few in the tradingpost, but I guess that some of those might be exactly the dodgy ones we like to avoid.

Um, still, worth a shot. Good luck. I would say, if you can get an enthusiast to go for a drive with you pre-purchase, he/she might notice something you wouldn't do yourself. I wish that I had done that...

Cheers,
Aurel
