No its a 3 piece case, sort of like a type 4 with the heads. The box is different too, they have a different type of shift linkage set up....
have a look on ebay in the states...I am going to bring one out this year.....you can get a really straight one for $14000 US which is $20000 plus say
$5000 for duty and shipping.
Here is an example....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=45...
Thats along way off $40000.

What do you think I was going to do with it......
Apparently the gearbox is not that strong, Doddy told me they do not like hard starts....
NO, I am not going to put a wrx motor in it, I was however thinking of a nice stroked vw engine with IDA's....
I am actually looking at a 356c or super 90, early 60's some of them put out 90hp, which is healthy enough to take on a sunday drive!
Will keep you posted on progress...I might be looking at an early 911 also, and while we are there you can get an immaculate 914 for $3000($4000
aussie). That would get a wrx motor for sure.

Love your style Matt. Hey after last week looking at your beetle with Chris i thought you'd Subaru a 356 for sure. As for a cheap 914. Yes please.
Would love one of those babies.
