My highlight was standing next to my car at full song , it was simply awesome! Also, getting to drive Keiths 2387cc up the street a couple of times, I
want a stroker crank!!!!!!!

Great stuff guys, I had a great time........ up until when I got shunted in the rear on the way home on P road
Oh well, shite happens.
Off to the fibreglass shop we go.
Things I need to do....
1. Get the air/fuel ratio from 9/1!!! to something reasonable!!!
2. Get the 1916 in the Speedster.
3. Do that again.......
:thumb
Got some footage so will let ya know when its up on the web.

hey cool pic of my kombi. If I can make 69hp through the front wheels imagine what I can do next time with the rear wheels.
bad luck about the shunting. Its a lesson learnt though. Come to the pub next time and you wont be at that spot at that time.

you win the drags mate. I got 24kg/kw assuming a kombi is 1280 kg like the rego papers say. It was enough to hold out the wanker in a corolla on mt
ousley though.

I saw Richard with the Turbo beetle just coming out of SAS when I drove up Silverwater road on the way home. just missed out. We ended up standing on
the side of the road talking for another 1.5 hours!!!
The turbo was only running 8 pounds boost instead of the 15 pounds that it should be running but when we took off together it didn't seem to be
slowing it down at all!!!!!!!
Jak

1974 L Bug
1918lbs / 61.1 HP = 31.4 lbs / hp
904 kgs / 46 kW = 19.7 kgs / kW
Pete - i think you might need to do your lbs/hp again
yeah - just had a beer with Rich. Spent the arvo driving the kids up and down the street

just looking at my manual
Stock was 60 hp (yeah yeah NOT rear wheel ponies) at 4400
Now i was flat lining at just short of 120 km/hr
My manual says 3rd is 1.26:1 and 22.3km/hr per 1000 rpm. So i was making top power at 5,380 revs ...... i'm happy.
Just to check though... the box i have is a dual side plate. Is this a 4.125 final drive box? or a 3.88?
I also have a single sided box in the garage, what is tha box?

If only I'd used my 14.89 lbs / hp to get out of the way of the Toyota driver with Coke bottle bottoms for glasses.

I know what ya saying......
Listen to this...we were stopped at the lights, I was in front of MR TOYOTA going straight ahead. The right turning lane light went 2 green beside us,
and he hits the gas. He said he was adjusting his mirror at the time and got a bit confused!!!

cool
cool
good to read some info and comparisons between the various combos and find it easier to beleive than the yank (tossers) magazines. are all of these
cars driven daily?
can t wait til i get a hot 4 to compare to all you lucky bastards
the 1500 is not exactly a tire shredder.
how come jakriz is making 90 and ct 76? can i get some more details on engine configs, carbs, cam etc? i thought the 1916 would be making more?
keiths car sounds like a ball tearer!

Sorry Mike, but I'm posative that it was 33.1, I even remember talking about it with the other guys that were standing there as well. I think
that they have accidently printed your first run, not your second.
Dino, Rich didn't put it on the dyno since they had shut up shop after we had left.

My mate reckons that cos SAS had the dyno on Shootout mode it adds 10% to the dyno figure and they should of had it on normal mode
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Also my car weighs 1150kgs?
So how are ur calculations working and what are u calculating?
