67 bug with irs and ball joint beam
67 bug as follows:
67 pan with very good pan halves and has irs conversion , also has ball joint beam modified to fit in place of link pin beam ( beam modified
not frame head).
rear brakes are super bug and can supply type 3 torsion bars and spring plates. front brakes are disc (stock ) but also have early t3 discs
calipers.
motor is stock 1300 but in excellent condition and has a brand new 1500 carb fitted (1300 jets , same venturi size)
Gearbox can be type 3 or bug , or 4 stud swing axle , even wide 5 if you like. C.v's are 2nd hand.
The body is in excellent condition and has zero rust around any window ( windows are out and can get photo's) ,there is a small amount of rust
under left hand front guard but its only minimal, heater channels are perfect and have no rust.
Body has a couple of dents but only minor, rear guards are good , fronts have rust down the bottom under h/lights, bonnet has some surface rust ,
and decklid has a crease but I do have a good spare.
Ialso have about 3 sets of glass and 3 sets of doors, one set of glass comes with near new rubber kit.
I have heaps of parts that could make up a decent bug oh also have a good hoodlining and stock interior.
I'm asking about $700.00 for the lot ,this includes a fair bit of early bug stuff . This is a complete bug + more just in pieces. Call me if
anyone wants to know more 0428 427 986 klaus.

Milton is on the NSW south coast.
I'd be interested in how you modify a ball joint beam to fit a kink and link frame head so it all still works??

milton is south coast n.s.w .
I did the beam conversion after talking to someone who races vw's and uses a modified beam in his bug and was impressed with how it gave alot
better turn in and cornering control.
After putting the front together you can see the tyre lays over more than a standard beam.

On how I did it was cut the beam in half , unstitching the steering stop then measuring and trimming beam to suit frame head. the ball joint bolt
holes don't line up so they have to be slightly modified. I'll drag the beam out of the bug and get a comparison photo between stock n modified.
