Fitting seatbelts to Type 2
G'day.
I'm looking to buy a 1970 Type 2 but is only plated for 2 people. Although it's good a camper conversion, seatbelts have not been fitted in the rear
seat.
Anyone know of anyone that will fit and certify seatbelts in SE Qld or Northern NSW?
Another question. Are all type 2 camper conversions origianally transporter (that's the model on the plate)?
Cheers,
Dave.

the windows should give you a quick indication of how easy it will eb to fit seatbelts. if it was originally a windowvan then there will be
pre-fabricated holes in the floor to mount seatbelts, as wlee as one just beneath the side window. they will most likely still have plastic screws in
them to keep the water out. if it was a panelvan like mine chances are that there are no original holes which makes mounting more complicated as
mounts must be fabricated.
