Help me find a R&P L Bug
Hi guys,
I am looking for a R&P equipped L bug as a daily driver/ongoing project.
Condition of paint, interior and mechanicals unimportant, but it needs to be semi-reliable and registered, and preferably with a sound body.
Essentially an honest unrestored bug.
I have found this one in SA on carsales:
http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_i...
Is there someone in SA prepared to have a look at it for me. I am willing to pay $100 for the privilege :thumb
If anyone sees anything suitable, please let me know.
Cheers

nice one bazza - didnt realise your new ride was a 75.
I kick myself every now and then for not buying a 76 when I had the chance - would have been oodles easier resto than my 73, plus a beam front end.
exwrx, there was one advertised on here a few months ago. has probably sold, but would be worth your while searching for the post just in case.

Hey (just to further highjack this thread !!!) I finally got some lowered springs for my bug, so the front end is finally coming down a couple inches
And I got running boards too (plus a sports steering wheel that is just
a little too close to the indicator / wiper stalks for compfort, but thats another issue).
Just consider this a free Bump

Doug, the white 75 L advertised in January appears to be sold :cry but thanks for the lead.
Bizarre, is your L the same one from Canberra that was advertised on ebay last year a few times? if it is the same one, it looked like a very nice
restoration.
The search continues....

Great model like Bizare I have 74L for the last 3 years for the oldest daughter and picked up a 75L last year for a $1000 He did want 1600 but he
wanted to go OS
This car was in trading post and sat for a month until I jumped on it
And to continue with tradition on this forum and steal the thread by asking Can you buy the a replacement pinoin for this model as I think the rack
is OK?
Cheers Doc
