Hand me my polishing tool.............


When I lift my lid, people are impressed..........but if it looked like this................

This is my mates 2.5 Litre engine in the States, it's going in the back of 56 Oval show car. Rated for 350hp American, might be 280hp Australian. His daily driver has a N/A 2.2 twin cam.
Love those carbon fibre cam covers!

Now where did I put my dremel?

Wow!!! Why would you ever buy a hot vw motor, when for half the price you could have one of these, and only 4 spark plugs!

Do you have a pic of the car as well?

after spending way too much time mostly polishing my intake and valve covers only, I can say that guy has way way way too much spare time :)

Wonder how the turbo will go with the 2.5's single cam heads and shallower combustion chamber and valve angle ?

Very pretty engine - I thought it was an EJ22 until I reread your post.

He has emailed me again & said the turbo is a T3-4 & on the first dyno run it made 325hp on 8 pounds of boost! Holy dooly!

The EJ 2.5 (turbo) short block is available here for $3200AU, brand new straight out of the states. Just fit all the EJ20 heads etc.




Spyder-WISD 07-09-05 11.6s @ 125 MPH

Speedster-WISD Nats 05 14.4s @ 89 MPH

Jet cruiser-Coogee 22-09-05 900 deg C @ 110,000 rpm

Where would I be able to get an alloy oil filler neck and cap like the one in pics (i think the WRX STI has it stock but not sure). Tried ebay but no luck there.

Just ordered a LINK EMS from Outbackmotorsports in the US and they had a polished oil filler as wel. Will look nice with the other stuff I did myself
