How long has this taken?pics!

Finally, after every possible hurdle to jump, I was slowly driving around last night.....with my mate Dave furiously working the keys on the laptop which didnt like staying on his knees.

All I have to say is......it whsitles and whooshes although you forget that for a second or two when the front wheels keep wanting to leave the ground!

I think I just heard a bug in the garage calling..

vw car, vw engine, keeping it real...........what are u doing in the conversion section astroboy asking for veewrx conversion pictures, there seems to be too many of u "purists" hanging around in this section of the forum. Are u all secretly doing conversions in your garages or is the "man" doing them for u?

Thanks all,
The exercise has made me a bit of an after market ecu wiring wiz. This happens when every possible thing that can go wrong does! So if any of you guys doing the same conversion need a hand with the wiring, to avoid the pain and suffering I have experienced, please call and I will be straight over.

I will take some pics with the digital camera, although I do not know how to reduce them to put on the forum.

Anyone popping by the area wants a quick lap round the block, its 50c a ride although you have to book......for more info see the Sydney Weekender website.:thumb

I drove around for about half an hour...looking for a little race, calling people on the phone to listen to the motor, and Rizzo calls to casually tell me about some Japanese car called a godzilla who doesnt like purple volkswagens. He then mentions seeing a new commodore smoke nearly all the gears up the main drag through Gosford, in one of the most impressive power displays he has seen , so he decides to pull up next to it....most people in Sydney give the nod of approval when their quick car gets beat....

Jak why do you just keep getting the finger out the window from embarrassed passengers?

I will have to pull the motor out again soon and put the new clutch in that is sitting on the bench. The one at present is a stock Kombi clutch, and without the motor being tuned at all properly, the clutch is giving way on occasions.....splutters above 4000rpm....we were left without the 02 sensor the other night and still have not been able to tune it.

There is a small ridge running across the entry to my street which shoots off at a 45degree.....
Warning: Do not accelerate hard in second gear over the ridge or the front wheels will leave the ground, only stopped by the sump scraping along the road resulting in a small tear!

I have the Kostya fight this morning at a mates, so I better put a little bead of weld along it and get it back together!

Ricola did the same thing to his RSturbo powered 356 copy the first time he backed it our of the drive.

Welded up the stock sump this morning just to take Jak for a spin. We are taking it off and making the short one tonight.
It does not need to be that short for the street...maybe an inch or so. The headers and filter are only that much shorter.

Jak took some pics and will post them when he gets some time.
