A retired engineer had it as a project ...he mounted all the bits(awesome fabriication), yet he has too many projects on the go and needs to down size. He was going to keep it, and I got it for a gesture price not a $$$value.

I am also getting a splitty ute in the next month..any guess what motor I will be putting in !

The collection has started!

Are you going to keep it sequential turbo with the black "box of death" vacuum line box hooked up or going single turbo?
Of you know how to hook up the vacuum line box I'd donate an organ to find out how exactly :)

PLease explain about the box of death...is it something to do with the sequential turbo transition or lack of it. I will get a couple of new turbos and run them twin intercooled but not sequential...Just a thought.

Trying to find space for the at least 2x everything(interior, lights, rubbers, door assembly blah blah) some things there are 3x. The 5 speed wrx box has a special diff mod to run 2 wheel drive, with an awesome bancking plate/ rear gearbox mount. I the linkage is special too, working the original subaru shifting setup and shifter.

We are starting the paint process tomorrow and there is only one place that needs a smear of bog on the whole car...lovelly.

The motor looks complex ...more vacuum lines than wires. Have to pull the motor as the flywheel and new brass button race clutch need to be fitted.....it may all make some sense when I can see it properly.

Pics tomorrow night.

Did you all get a glimpse of the orange?
Went to VG's auto paint and got a flash spray gun....it is now all mt druit grey. The thing is that straight, and already rubbed down, all we did was touch up a couple of scrathces and hit it. Came up awesome. Tomorrow will give it 4-5 coats of the new colour and 4-5 of clear after that...

Resprayed a new deck lid and beaver panel for the bug also..
