Interchangeable?
Can I put the gear box out of a 69 swing axle into a 70 swing axle beetle.
Also will the front window out of the 69 fit in a 71 beetle?

volt
Also will the front window out of the 69 fit in a 71 beetle? - 99.999999% sure. Think the only difference is pre 67's

Hi
The type 3 box would be 12 volt. You need to fit clamps to hold the brake line and also check the little dimple for the shift coupling, the type 3
bolts in from the bottom, the bug from the top. Most type 3 boxes have twin dimples, if not swap the shift rod in the box over with the beetle one,
otherwise you will need to fit the grub screw in the bottom of the coupling through the little tiny access hole, I have seen it done.
