Mike

can we clear something up??

If we are talking beetle, then -

Super beetle pans ran from 1971 till mid 1975.
Then for one year was the return of the beam front end

There wasnt a 1977 or 1978 model in Australia.

So - what exactly are you after??

Try and find and 1968 Semi Automatic Beetle pan. It has a better rear suspension - like a '76 - than the manual cars and is perfect under the Purvis

Hi

The earlier pans are better because the RTA rules change in 1973 with wheels.

No worries Mike

I know Richard Holzl has an excellent converted semi auto pan that is almost finished being fully restored.
