DAK DAK
I heard that there was a CD made for the new beetle which played the old noise made by the original models - "Dak Dak Dak Dak" etc... Is
there any truth in this and if so, how can I get one? |

The best way is to go and buy a REAL Beetle. Then you'll have the real engine noise in your ears all the time. Otherwise be happy with your Golf
engine!
The Muir book people (they've been publishing the idiot's guide for 30 years) once published a cassette of various 'faulty' VW
engine noises. Things like what loose tappets sound like, or a compression leak, or a rod knock, and so on. Long out of production, but it would be
cool to find a copy.

crank up the 200 watt stereo
play that waste gate,
but you'd have to practice the backing off the accelerator
at just the right time to look authentic. ehh..................
