Spy pics of Mub Bashing's new Baja

Hi all,

Dropped into my Brothers place on Saturday (to take pics of the storm damage to his place/vehicles :cry - but thats another story) and discovered that Mud Bashing's Baja shell was in the process of changing colour - I believe that MB himself does not know that the painting process is under way so....SURPRISE! :D

Only the inside is painted so far as the roof has to be re-straightened after the vicious hail storm that we suffered from on Wednesday (only very minor damage).

Looks good so far don't you think? The quality of the paintwork is incredible...hope mine comes out this good!

R :)

:D

...Haven't you been told about Daves Baja? It's undergoing it 3rd (or is it 4th...or 5th...) rebuild. IRS conversion being the most important change but the body needed a new sill on the passenger side as well as other minor rust repairs so the decision was made to start from scratch and do everything over again to make it as strong as possible... I suggested that I put a couple of pics up, but he didn't want me to give away any of his secrets...:D

Tim, your response should have been "no, its the filler nozzle for the keg that is mounted behind the rear seat...!"

...er...well, um, yes...I suppose your right about Daves Baja being more replacement parts than original metal...but at least we now know that sill replacement isn't that hard...how many bugs do you know of that have been wrecked just because the sills were not OK? Perhaps now we can save a few more...?

Has there been any more progress on your Baja's paintwork since Saturday? I am looking forward to seeing it all painted...

No "de-fuse" intended. Just thought i would clarify that it was meant as a bit of harmless fun,as some people have trouble understanding that in cyberspace. The colour is the same as mine..

Now thats funny water cap i like the air to water intercooler now thats great idea mike :thumb . and why is it that when someone says that its a water cap you all run and hide, if he said that air coolers were shit and that the hole was for water them would be fighting words (ha ha ha mud bashing giglling). i went over today and did alot more wet rubbing (the stuff that really really sucks) now i have to fix up the hail damage on the roof i can primmer and wet rub that yippie then bazz a mate of mine some off you might now his bus blue and white one, plates 57BUS can come up and work his magic on the rest of the car. ross that sill replcement was easy for dave but he don't need and more cars and keg behind the seat know there an idea that would be the next step up from dyno who has a stubbie holder bolted to the floorpan in his manx

Thanks to dave and bazz for the work done and storage !!
also ross for the photos
